In accordance with the Foundations Regulation, which came into force following its publication in the Official Gazette dated 27.09.2008:
"Foundations can receive in-kind and cash donations and aid from individuals and organizations both domestically and internationally. For cash donations and aid received from within the country, those made through banks should be documented with a bank receipt, and for those given in person, a 'donation receipt' must be issued."
