TOG Teams Up with Head & Shoulders for the 'Kick Bullying Out of Your Head' Project
Head & Shoulders Boosts Self-Esteem for Hundreds of Thousands of Children
Head & Shoulders, in collaboration with Toplum Gönüllüleri Vakfı (TOG), Prof. Dr. Selçuk Şirin, and Migros, is saying 'Stop!' to peer bullying with the social responsibility project named '#kickbullyingoutofyourhead'. As part of the project, TOG's fieldwork has begun, with TOG's volunteer youth initiating trainer trainings in Istanbul.
Turkey's number one dandruff shampoo*, Head & Shoulders, has elevated the #kickbullyingoutofyourhead campaign, addressing the peer bullying problem that deeply affects children's lives, initiated in collaboration with Toplum Gönüllüleri Vakfı (TOG), Prof. Dr. Selçuk Şirin, and Migros. Head & Shoulders and TOG's volunteer youth have come together in Istanbul to provide confidence to thousands of students. Following the trainer trainings, TOG volunteers will hit the ground in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir to conduct dissemination trainings in selected schools.

The 'Kick Bullying Out of Your Head' project, initiated by Head & Shoulders, advised by Prof. Dr. Selçuk Şirin, and supported by World and Olympic Champion Mete Gazoz and gaming influencer Büşra Pelin (PqueeN) Baynazoğlu as ambassadors, aims to prevent peer bullying, a form of violence that can lead to anxiety, academic failure, and negative future outcomes, and to raise awareness on this issue.
Approximately 1 in every 2 young people experience peer bullying!
Peer bullying, divided into verbal, physical, and cyberbullying, is the most common form of violence among school-aged youth. According to research, approximately 1 in every 2 young people experience peer bullying, negatively affecting their academic achievements. According to a survey conducted by Head & Shoulders, having dandruff doubles the risk of peer bullying. With the #zorbalığıkafandanat project, Head & Shoulders aims to reach hundreds of thousands of children subjected to peer bullying.

Prof. Dr. Selçuk Şirin, who serves as the consultant for the project, expressed his happiness in meeting with TOG volunteers and said the following during the trainer trainings: "The issue of peer bullying, which causes problems in the lives of our young people, has become an urgent matter in recent years. Studies among students show that 'friends' are the primary source of violence. While approximately 1 in every 2 young people in the world experiences peer bullying, Turkey ranks in the top three among OECD countries in terms of peer bullying. By training young people like you, who will carry out fieldwork with the 'Kick Bullying Out of Your Head' project, you will raise awareness among our young people about peer bullying. I am very happy to meet with you valuable TOG volunteers."

Head & Shoulders aims to reach at least 2,000 children through face-to-face trainings conducted by Toplum Gönüllüleri Vakfı in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir, and to reach hundreds of thousands of people with the support of Prof. Dr. Selçuk Şirin and Migros.
