The "Volunteer Stage" project is a theater initiative run by the Bahçeşehir University Community Volunteers Club. The project aims to instill a love for theater in children, foster their imagination, and boost their self-confidence. In 2022, they plan to perform The Little Black Fish play in 3rd and 4th-grade primary school classrooms, reaching approximately 600-800 children. The performances will also be available on YouTube.
The project budget covers expenses for costumes, transportation fees, and equipment necessary for recording the stage performances. It is carried out in collaboration with BAU-Theater Club, the Ministry of National Education (MEB), and Sheikh Zayed Sevgi Evi, among other partners.
The "SanatIST" project is an initiative aimed at bringing university students in Istanbul together with various cultural and artistic events. The project seeks to provide opportunities for young people who have become distanced from the arts due to financial constraints.
Throughout the 2022/2023 period, SanatIST will collaborate with Zorlu PSM and various theaters to facilitate student participation in theater performances, museum visits, and exhibitions. Additionally, the project plans to introduce Istanbul’s historical sites and showcase works created by young artists. All events are intended to be free of charge.
